The Millwright Team had a great opportunity to perform some interesting work at local Cleveland brewery - Platform Beer. Our Millwrights worked with Platform Beer to rig and set two horizontal 120-barrel (30 gallons per barrel x 120 barrels = 3,600 gallons) stainless steel tanks, one 120-barrel vertical tank and one 30-barrel tank. The vertical tank was shipped in the horizontal position. Once inside, the tank was flipped to the vertical position and set in place. All tanks were unloaded at Platform’s loading dock. Once unloaded, the tanks were skated through the brewery to their final position. Throughout the project, our team was managing tight spaces, narrow door openings and existing brewery equipment. All stainless steel tanks were set in place with no damage to the tanks or surrounding brewery equipment without interrupting Platform’s brewing operations and are now part of their production process.
