ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring job site safety, to include: assisting with training, documentation, audits, and reporting. The Safety Coordinator will assist in safety management and coordination by researching, planning, developing and implementing programs and procedures necessary to meet the compliance and safety needs of Great Lakes Co. and the project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures EHS inspections/audits are completed as necessary to comply with regulations, laws or reporting requirements
  • Submits EHS compliance reports and recommendations to the Safety Director
  • Contributes to coordinating safety training for all employees
  • Assists supervisors in the investigation of all incidents and reports ensuring proper reporting
  • Leads and/or assists in safety meetings with emphasis on employee participation
  • Manages and maintains all environmental, health and safety related documents for the project
  • Assists in the processing of worker’s compensation claim and maintain necessary records of claims
  • Recommend policies and procedures to reduce risks
  • Conduct orientation for all new employees in safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Work with a focus on advancing safety
  • Assist the department Safety Director with all aspects of the Environmental, Safety & Health program for the facility, including continuous improvement of safety & health programs that are proactive, data-based, and prioritized according to risk assessments and hazard reduction potential
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs policies, procedures, and action plans, including employee training
  • Assist with maintenance and communication of safety key metrics
  • Represent safety and actively contribute to the Safety Committee

QUALIFICATIONS

  • OSHA 30-hour training completion required
  • Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The ability to write basic reports and follow up on issues
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in the construction safety field
  • Experience in construction safety training

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Work conditions are indoors in a normal non-smoking office environment and outdoors under all weather conditions
  • The majority of the work schedule will be performed in the field

TRAVEL

This position is in the Cleveland market and the majority of the work, approximately 80%, will be in the field

LOCATION:  Tri-State Area (OH, PA, WV) 

ABOUT THE JOB

LOCATION:  Tri-State Area (OH, PA, WV) 

ABOUT THE JOB
The Oil & Gas Project Superintendent is responsible for the safety, quality, efficiency, and timeliness of the project.  This position will provide on-site coordination for all phases of the project, including material, equipment, subcontractors, and labor.  While there are specific responsibilities and expectations described below, it is essential that the Oil & Gas Project Superintendent be organized, possess good judgment skills, communicate effectively, and have technical knowledge of earthwork and drainage construction practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, refine and update the project schedule
  • Complete knowledge and understanding  of contract drawings/specifications
  • Understand project costs and manage company assets
  • Create and manage project documentation
  • Coordinate project operations including subcontractors and material vendors
  • Knowledge of all regulations to ensure all aspects of the project are compliant
  • Provide leadership and maintain effective working relationships with the on-site staff
  • Enforce Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Core values
  • Develop daily crew lists and manage field activities to ensure project completion date is met
  • Lead weekly foreman meeting
  • Develop two-week forecast to proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions
  • Maintain regulatory compliance for projects
  • Ability to interface and maintain good relationship with owners

REQUIREMENTS

  • Construction-related degree preferred with no less than 5 years of progressive responsibility supervising earthwork and drainage construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask on complex projects
  • 5 - 10 years construction related experience
  • Able to meet deadlines and driven to closure
  • Ability to read construction drawings and understand specifications

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time exempt position, the workweek for employees is normally considered 40 hours.  However, the greater emphasis is placed on meeting the responsibilities assigned to this position.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
This position performs a variety of administrative and accounting functions on a construction job site located in the Downtown Cleveland area.  There is secure and free parking available at the job site.  The position will have the opportunity to relocate to another project site and/or the Corporate office at the completion of the current project.  The Construction Project Accountant/Administrator is a high visibility role that requires the ability to multitask, communicate effectively and will support our efforts to get cost reimbursement.   

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES                     

  • Daily job site time card entry in accounting software
  • Develop comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of project schedules
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on the day-to-day operations
  • Code and process daily delivery tickets
  • Produce time and material billings
  • Review costs for extra work
  • Record and track equipment movements in and out of the job site
  • Provide administrative support to the project team
  • Follow up with subcontractors regarding project documentation as needed
  • Maintain all project documentation according to project guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as directed
  • Foster positive and productive relationships with the project team and owners

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years of accounting and/or payroll experience, or any satisfactory combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Advanced knowledge of a variety of office practices and procedures, use of office equipment including a 10-key calculator, Vista Accounting Software or similar package and MS Office software
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail orientated with a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to take initiative within the area of responsibility
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of employee and company information
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a construction related environment

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position.  The work week for employees is considered 40 hours.  However, the greater emphasis is placed on meeting the responsibilities assigned to this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is performed primarily in a non-smoking construction field office trailer.  The noise level in the work environment is typical of most construction sites.  Minimal physical exertion.
