On March 11, 2024, Great Lakes closed all eastbound lanes of traffic on SR-562 Norwood Lateral. The Norwood Lateral is a major state route that connects I-75 and I-71 on the north side of Cincinnati. The project will be performed in two phases, eastbound and westbound. Each phase will take 80 calendar days to complete. Items of work include replacing all roadway signage, replacing bearings and expansion joints on three separate structures, replacement of approximately 3,200 LF of bridge parapet wall, 1,400 foot long bridge deck overlay, and 2.3 miles of asphalt mill and fill. Great Lakes has started removing and replacing bridge expansion joints, removing bridge parapet wall, removing overhead signs, and removing existing bridge deck overlay.
