GCRTA Waterfront Line

Project 423-22
GCRTA Waterfront Line
Cleveland, OH

The GCRTA Waterfront Line connects Tower City to the Municipal Parking Lot, commonly known to Cleveland Browns fans as the Muni Lot. Since October 2020, the GCRTA Waterfront Line has been out of service. The bridge spans from the Flats East Bank, over Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks, to the Port of Cleveland property. On Project 423-22, Great Lakes and its subcontractors are rehabilitating the bridge through concrete repairs, adding longitudinal post-tensioning strands, bearing improvements, complete transit rail replacement, MSE wall repairs, and several other renovations. Great Lakes began construction in January 2023 and intends to have GCRTA’s Waterfront Line open to public transit by the Cleveland Browns first Regular Season Home Game in September.
