Considering the I-77 North on-ramp travels over Rockside Road, the existing bridge substructure and superstructure were widened by approximately 15 feet. The completed bridge widening work consisted of pier drilled shafts, abutment H-piling, extending the piers\/abutments substructure concrete, adding bearings and a fascia beam, and extending the deck\/parapet wall concrete superstructure. The ongoing roadway widening work of both ramps consists of existing pavement removal, subgrade cement stabilization, underdrain\/sewer installation, concrete\/asphalt pavement placement, and traffic signal\/lighting utility work.
