This project entails replacement of four aeration tank blowers at both City of Strongsville’s Wastewater Treatment Plants – Site B and Site C. The two blowers at Site B are in the basement of the Pre-Treatment Building. To not interrupt plant operations, Great Lakes developed a means to change one blower out at a time with new 10” carbon steel welded suction and discharge air lines. The first blower has arrived from Belgium and is currently being installed. The two blowers at Site C are being relocated outdoors and require new 10” stainless steel discharge piping to connect to the existing aeration pipe. Additionally, Great Lakes has completed the replacement of a new washer/compactor system at Site C Headworks Building to reduce odor and costs of disposal.
