The Great Lakes Construction Co. worked as a subcontractor to Regency Construction Services, Inc. at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Together, we built the ziplines for the Eagle Zip Adventure, a new zipline experience that takes riders above the ground of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The tandem ziplines span over 700 feet, crossing Waterfowl Lake and ascending 145 feet in the air. Great Lakes installed the drilled shafts for the towers, constructed the elevated concrete platforms above Waterfowl Lake, and placed decorative boulders along the shoreline. Our millwright division assisted with the tower erection and running the zipline cables from the drive tower to the return towers. The Eagle Zip Adventure is now open for business, providing fun and excitement to zoo visitors!
