Great Lakes constructed a gas-insulated substation expansion on the Ohio River in West Virginia. The two-story structural concrete foundation holds cabling fed to specialized equipment in the pre-engineered metal building constructed above. A crowded site required careful planning to sequence this work between multiple contractors. Installation included the building, multiple foundations throughout the substation, and over 10,000 LF of duct bank conduit.
